Wild Dogwoods

Beautiful wild dogwood trees dot the landscape alongside old barns in the springtime here in the mountains of western North Carolina.

Have a great week everyone.

  6. You appear to be a week or so behind us as our dogwood trees have been raining white blooms along with the double bloom pink cherry.

  14. I can hardly wait each year for the dogwoods. I love the way they just seem to float in the air before the leaves appear in the rest of the woods. I actually climbed a tree the other day in the woods to clip a branch for a photo shoot :) They are just too lovely for words and so are your photos Sam. Thanks for capturing this Carolina beauty.

  16. How beautiful! I especially love the first shot with the red farm buildings. What a lovely contrast with the white blossoms. Our magnolia tree is blooming now but the winter (and squirrels) were hard on it and there are only a few blossoms this year, sadly.

  21. There's nothing like a Western Carolina spring. The red barn photo is so lovely, it could grace the cover of a book or magazine.
