Today in the mountains of North Carolina we woke up to a frosty 27 degrees. I would much rather be on Elbow Cay in Abaco, where the current temperature is 75. We've also had a lot of rain this fall. It feels like fall slipped away almost before it got here and turned to winter.
To see more about the Abacos, please visit Abaco Escape, Sandy Estabrook’s gorgeous website which contains hundreds of beautiful photos of the area along with local information, including the beautiful deserted beach shown above on Elbow Cay in the Bahamas.
Stunning! I would want to be there too!
ReplyDeleteI think we all share your sentiment after seeing the impeccable white sand and blue water. This place is truly paradise!
ReplyDeleteLooks tempting! But I'm hoping the cold brings on the autumn colors.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe it - you are colder than we are! (Minnesota) Positively balmy here. But I will be dreaming of warmer climes very soon.
ReplyDeleteI heard it was colder than where I am too...hard to believe...but do you have room in the suitcase for me :)
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you :-). It looks beautiful and you sound cold. Bundle up and make some soup. Have a great, if chilly, day.
ReplyDelete27 degrees, eh? I'd be ready to leave town, too, and THAT would be the place!
ReplyDelete...dreamy...
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice picture!
ReplyDeleteI would enjoy that! Peaceful...that is what I need.
ReplyDeleteoh I hear ya it was cold in Asheville as well lol
ReplyDeleteIronically, my parents who split time between Franklin (cabin on Wayah) and Florida are stuck in Florida right now. I had to rub in the temps and the leaves starting to turn:) I'm just evil like that!
ReplyDeleteSam, have you looked out your window? It is GORGEOUS here! Put on a warm sweater, go out and kick some leaves, and enjoy the bright sun dappling through the brilliant autumn colors.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous. I'll pack my bag and join you. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful coastline.....I will post some of my weekend pictures at the sea soon, it will make you book a flight!!!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean Sam...xv
ReplyDeleteHow lovely!!
ReplyDeleteIt was even colder this morning Sam. I'm not ready to start scraping ice from my car windows every morning again! lol
ReplyDeleteSam,
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I had rather be at this beautiful, warm beach, too. This cold, frosty weather here in the Blue Ridge Mtn. is a shock after the warm weather. Hopefully, today it will get warmer and I can thaw out. Stay warm!
We're actually having a pretty nice & warm day today but I would love to be at the beach too!
ReplyDeleteNasty! I have heard from a friend in South Carolina that even there the temperature fell below 32°!
ReplyDeleteWe had snow last week, it snowed a whole morning. I almost fell out of my socks when I got up and looked out the window, all unprepared for the big white flakes slowly falling from the sky!
Today, the sky was leaden and grayness covered everything in the city. There was no light reflecting anywhere, unless it came from artificial sources.
I am dreading the thought of this lasting for the next five months. I have lived most of my life in the south, and now that!
What a beautiful picture of the beach! It cheered me up as I sit in the cold rainy grayness of Michigan :)
ReplyDeleteThat sandy beach looks so inviting. We're getting into the season I dislike the most: 40 degrees and raining. I'll just have to dream of the beach on a warm day.
ReplyDeleteThat photo looks so inviting..all that white sand and blue water and sky! We had warmer weather today ... it's been an unusual fall.
ReplyDeleteWhile I feel blessed to live in Monterey, CA-- I could see myself walking barefoot on this beach with my sweetie. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe weather sounds divine! We are headed up at this moment (yes, I am blogging in the car) to the North Georgia mountains for the weekend. I can hardly wait for some real Fall weather.
ReplyDeleteSam-I do believe cold weather is here to stay. Your picture warms me up though : )
ReplyDeleteSam, Abaco is beautiful, but I have to say that the Mountains of Western North Carolina are pretty spectacular too. That's one of the places on my top-10 "places I'd like to live" list.
ReplyDeleteAfter Belgium, of course!
