Beverly of How Sweet the Sound is celebrating Pink Saturday's 6th anniversary and I would like to wish her a very happy anniversary. This post was the first of many I have submitted to Pink Saturday through the years and I thought it might be fun to submit this one again for "old times sake." My husband and I were out on a leisurely Sunday afternoon ride a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t help but snap this photo. It aroused my curiosity. Do you suppose they painted their house pink first or painted their car pink first? Whatever the case, it has to be a one of a kind. This may carry the concept of matching shoes and handbags to a whole new level. I hope this free spirit owner of the pink house and a car to match brings a smile to your face and sunshine into your Saturday.
Happy Pink Saturday Sam, and welcome. I so love this pink post. I would say they painted the house first then the car. They sure are pink though. I have signed up to follow your blog. I can't wait to see what you share next. Thanks for sharing. Please stop by and read my Pink post, and I would so love to have you as a follower. Country hugs sweetie, Sherry
ReplyDeleteHi, Sam,
ReplyDeleteI love it! I am not sure which was done first either, the car or the house, but they match perfectly! Thanks for bringing a smile to my face. Happy Pink Saturday! Vicki
L♥ve your pink goodies this week. Just when I think I have enough pink in my life I participate in Pink Saturday and see even more sweet things I'd enjoy having in my home.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture Sam. Pretty amazing actually. Besides the pink, there is red, white and yellow. It is charming and has much character and I would have taken a picture also.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteEven though I am not participating (as I missed the deadline yet again), I am doing an organic visit to wish my friends old and new, Happy Pink Saturday!
What's an organic visit'? It's one that takes a natural course through an almost viral form. I'm visiting people YOU have had visit, and then visiting people they have had visit, and so on! Great way to reach out and talk to people.
Your post was delightful, Welcome and HPS -

Sam,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Pink Saturday! You hit it out of the park, so to speak. What a great pink find. No mistaking that home for another one in the neighborhood. Sure hope the neighbors have a great sense of humor. I would be curious to see the inside, wouldn't you?!
Sue

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to start the day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
I remember when the new owners of the house down the street (this was ever so long ago!) in my mom and dad's staid neighborhood painted their house flamingo pink with purple trim. People were horrified and I fell in love! Love Pink Saturday; I'm a pink kinda girl!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to PS, Sam! Stumbling across this house was a great find. You certainly started out PS with a bang!
ReplyDeleteHi Sam,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to your first Pink Saturday. What a great photo for your first post! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.

Welcome to Pink Saturday...I enjoyed your post. I think the whole thing must've been dreamed up as a work of art at the same time. Maybe by some girls who find Wayne & Garth "excellent!"
ReplyDeleteLeslie
Well this is a first for me. I have never seen a pink house. I did see a pink car once, but it was a lighter pink. It is nice we do not all have the same taste.

wow, amazing. I always love when people are brave enough to thumb their nose at conventions. I would love to see inside their house and see who lives there. i think the house was painted first and then they used the left over paint on the car.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday. That pretty pink house and car put a smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteFall is in the air here today. The high today is 58 and the low is going to get down in the 30's Time to bring in some firewood.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I love pink and yellow together, but I'm not sure about a pink and yellow car or even house!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Week..I'm late!
What a cute place! I'd live there and bake lots of things with pink frosting! ;0)

ReplyDeleteThis photo definitely made me smile. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSeparately, they are a little strange, but together, they go perfectly!
ReplyDeleteSam,
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday. I love pink, I think it may be my favorite color. I recall my grandmother when she baked a cake always put pink icing on it. Maybe that's why I love pink so much.
Enjoyed my visit. Count me as a follower.
ReplyDeleteEach to their own taste, but I tend to think that is too much pink.
ReplyDeleteClassic, haha. Some people have such courage, haven't they? Great pink share.
ReplyDeleteThat must have been a fun memory! I've never seen a matching house and car. I don't know if I'd want to be caught driving a pink car, but I bet it's fun! Happy Pink Saturday! (even though it's Sunday already)
ReplyDeleteWow, that person has a great sense of humor! I wonder what he or she is like! Wouldn't you want to meet her/him?
ReplyDeleteI have noticed a few bright pink cars on the roadways! Someone in the area has a huge bright pink Hummer! LOL! Oh my goodness the house is like a candy store! So cute! The car is very interesting and I imagine in if met these folks you would have a great conversation. HPS a bit late! Thanks for sharing and enjoy the weekend.
