The problem with avocados is that they can feel ripe, but have lots of dark spots inside that I don't like. So I buy them underripe and refrigerate them when they are still a bit firm. If someone asked me to write it down, I don't think I could. But I sure know how to do it. The feel, the skin.<br />Wish someone had a surefire pineapple tip. Pulling those leaves out doesn't work.
